I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seattle University with a degree in Philosophy and Cum Laude from Seattle University School of Law. My professional background has varied from grocery clerk to teaching ancient philosophy to apprenticing with lawyers where I learned my craft. My background helps me see problems from a variety of perspectives and it helps me bring creativity and compassion to what can be difficult times for my clients.
In 2011 I received recognition for excellence in pro-bono legal service from the King County Bar Foundation. I bring this focus, personal attention, and ethical emphasis to all of my cases. I enjoy working closely with clients to forge solutions that will serve them well. My approach to legal issues is to negotiate from what my client has coming, and to litigate when that fails. Often the best solution is going to court, but my experience is that people are often more empowered when they can decide how to resolve problems through agreements rather than a mandate from the court.
I am a Seattle native who loves the northwest. When not untangling the common law, I hike, bike, read, collect LPs, and play guitar.
