Thomas Degan Jr. joined Maxwell Graham in 2015 after spending 15 years working for a small Seattle law firm. Tom's past experience includes everything from representing clients cited for speeding, to representing large corporations in multimillion-dollar lawsuits before the Washington Supreme Court. As a result of these diverse experiences, Tom realized that he felt most comfortable assisting individuals injured by others.
The product of a family including three generations of medical professionals, Tom’s decision to focus his practice on helping patients injured by negligent medical professionals was natural. He views his current practice as an extension of his family’s tradition of ensuring that all medical professionals provide patients with the highest quality patient care.
Tom is an Eagle member of the Washington State Association for Justice (formerly WSTLA), and has been for more than a decade. He has represented clients in cases courts from local municipal Courts to the Washington Supreme Court. In addition, Tom has represented clients in California and Idaho.
Tom was born and raised in Seattle, so he decided to travel from Seattle all the way North to Bellingham to obtain his college degree from Western Washington University. Tom was then ready to see the world, so he drove East across the state to Spokane to attend law school at Gonzaga. While living in Spokane, Tom completed several jury trials while working as a public defender. With a law degree in hand, Tom and his wife Traci returned to the Seattle area where they make their home.
When not at work, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife Traci and their four boys. Perpetually in motion, Tom and his family can generally be found traveling around the Pacific Northwest to youth hockey tournaments, in search of fish and wild game, or skiing in Cascades and Sawtooth Mountains.
